Dr Cora Mayer is a Melbourne-based General Practitioner with over 20 years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centred care.
She has a special interest in women’s health, pregnancy shared care, paediatrics, travel and tropical medicine, and public health.
Cora graduated with honours from Monash University and worked in a variety of settings, including rural and remote areas, after completion of her Diploma of Obstetrics and FRACGP. She completed her Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University in 2007 and joined the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine in 2011.
Cora has a thoughtful, respectful approach to general practice, taking the time to listen and build trusted relationships with her patients.
Cora is an independent health practitioner who practices at Bayside Family Medical in Cheltenham. Cora also provides antenatal care at Sandringham Hospital (Monash Health) and is the GP Lead at Quit Centre (Cancer Council Victoria), where she focuses on supporting GPs to help their patients with smoking and vaping cessation. Cora is passionate about cancer prevention and public health advocacy.
